Children

The children at Lincoln Street Church play a vital role in the life of our community. You will get a sense of that as children participate in worship through the children’s chat and as they come and go freely throughout the worship service.

Each Sunday following the time with children, those who so choose participate in our Sunday School program. This is led each week by Melody, a gifted teacher who has been working with pre-schoolers to high schoolers most of her life. She brings song, story and art projects each week. In addition, the children learn about giving and prayer through their worship circle time.

Parents are welcome to stay and participate with their child, or they are free to leave their child if he or she is comfortable. Church school age begins somewhere around 3 years old, depending on the child, and continues up through grade school.

We have 3 high school helpers who are members or friends of Lincoln Street who help Melody each week as well. And the children adore them!

As one child recently said, “I wonder what that Melody has come up with this week. She always has something different!”

We think your children will enjoy this program as well as be nurtured by it.
